Feb. 24, 2010 (China Knowledge) - The output of the aerospace manufacturing industry in North China's Tianjin increased 14-fold year on year to RMB 11.23 billion in 2009, ranking fourth nationwide, up from 13th in 2008, according to a statement published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on its website.
Last year, the city's Airbus A320 project delivered 11 airplanes and saw an output value of RMB 3.85 billion.
The output of a helicopter project jointly launched by Aviation Industry Corp of China and the Tianjin municipal government was RMB 6 billion.
The top three provinces by output value in the aerospace manufacturing industry last year were Shaanxi, Liaoning and Sichuan. Their outputs were RMB 26.96 billion, RMB 16.18 billion and RMB 15.7 billion, respectively.
