On 30 March, Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin presents a night of fine Terrazas wines and gastronomy overlooking Tianjin’s spectacular river and skyline from the 32nd-floor Horizon Club private dining room.
Surrounded by the high peaks of the Andes, Terrazas vineyards are located in the heart of Argentina’s famed Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley where high altitudes and low rainfall create vivid and intense flavours. Offering a large variety of expressions and top-quality tannins, the generous wines are known for their silkiness and ample mouthfeel.
A 5-course menu specially created for the evening by French Executive Chef Yvan Collet will be paired with five exceptional red and white wines. Among the courses to look forward to be Home-made truffle crusted duck sausage with puy lentils and Malbec reduction served with Single Vineyard Malbec, which reveals floral notes and fruit hues together with complex aromas of cinnamon and coconut from its barrel aging.
A 48-hour Slow-cooked beef short rib with cheese-trio stuffed zucchini and glazed baby carrots is paired with the delightful Cheval des Andes, a wine that perfectly combines its young vivacity with the elegance of a mature structure. A magnificent Chocolate ball dessert brings out the suave intensity of the classic Terrazas Reserva Malbec, characterised by intense notes of black cherries, figs and sour cherry jam, followed by a delicate violet perfume.
