As the end of the school year approaches, it’s again time to mark your calendar for the annual IST Community Fair coming up Wednesday June 5th from 9:45- 2PM. Everyone -- from the IST Community or not – is welcome to join us at the International School of Tianjin for the day to celebrate the end of another great year! The fair is free to enter but make sure to bring cash for activities (some are free but some have a small fee), food, and gifts to bring home! There will be a variety of performances throughout the day to enjoy.
Activities offered:
- Face painting
- Temporary tattoos
- Helium and animal balloons
- Pinatas
- Limbo
- Obstacle course
- Circus workshops
- Carnival games
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Paddling Pools for non-IST students age 4 and younger (you need to bring a towel and swimsuit)
- Slip N’ Slide for students grade 3 and up (bring a change of clothes)
- Photo booth
- 3D printer workshop
- T-shirt customization
- Indoor Karaoke
- And more!
You can expect a collection of amazing foods from a variety of cuisines waiting for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
- Round up any clothes you don’t need around the house and bring them to the fair.
- The clothes will be sold for 2RMB each, with the purpose of reducing people that buy new clothes, which is better for the environment.
- The leftover pieces are going to be sent to a charity that takes out the good quality clothes and then distributes them to people in need.
- The unusable pieces are going to be recycled instead of going to the landfills.
- The money collected by the booth will be donated to “Clean Up“ , an Australian organization which empowers communities to clean up and conserve our environment.
