China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) received approval to construct two billion cubic meters of gas storage facilities in the Tianjin Dagang oilfield, reports 163.com, citing a report on cn.wsj.com.
The storage facilities will be built over two phases.
According to Liao Yongyuan, the vice general manager of CNPC, the company plans to construct ten gas storage facilities with total capacity of 22.4 billion cubic meters in the period between 2011 and 2015.
