China will suspend the release of youth unemployment rates, a top government statistician said Tuesday, after the country reported record numbers of unemployed young citizens in recent months.
"Starting from this August, the release of urban unemployment rates for youth and other age groups across the country will be suspended," National Bureau of Statistics spokesperson Fu Linghui said at a press conference.
