Sheraton announces its 1st hotel opening in Binhai New Area

Tianjin, China, 25th October 2010 – Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. today announces its 1st Sheraton hotel open in the heart of the modern service district of Binhai New Area, China third economic growth pole in the 21st century following Shenzhen of Guangdong and Pudong of Shanghai. Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel is the 2nd Sheraton hotel in Tianjin since Sheraton Tianjin Hotel opened in 1986. The senior government officials, top clients of the world top 500 enterprises of Binhai New Area celebrate the Hotel’s opening with Senior executives of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Tianjin Century Group, the owning company of Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel..

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts plans to open five more hotels in China before the end of 2010, and another 18 by 2015. The Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel is ideally located in the heard of Binhai New Area - future Modern Service District (MSD) where all the international grade-A business complex by LEED standards developed by the US Green Building Council are focusing on corporate headquarters, based on financial institutions and supported by advisory institutions.

Chairman of Tianjin Century Group, Mr. Hao Shu Qiang indicated, “We are delighted to bring the 2nd Sheraton Hotel into the Tianjin. Business Travelers will be able to stay with a hotel brand they are familiar back home.”

Located 38 Kilometers from the Tianjin International Airport and 1-hour ride by bullet train to Beijing, the Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel features 325 guestrooms and suites offering the celebrated Sweet Sleeper™ Bed, and LCD flat screen TVs, high speed Internet access and Shine by Sheraton™ bath amenities. Executive rooms & suites provide an enhanced level of service, comfort and convenience for busy travelers.

The hotel is equipped with 1,200 square meters of meeting and banquet space for groups up to 800 people, including a 700-squremeter pillar less Grand Ballroom and 8 other function rooms all equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as simultaneous interpretation equipments, large plasma display equipment and LCD projectors.

Other facilities include three restaurants with different offerings: Feast is Sheraton’s signature all-day dining restaurant featuring a tapestry of bright décor and culinary delights from around the world. Yue serves renowned Cantonese and regional specialties as well as dim sums.Bene Italian restaurant features traditional cuisine with a modern twist.
