Sino Australia Royal Yacht City Media Briefing was held on June 28. Details of the Sino Australia Royal Yacht City marina and yachting complex set to commence construction in at Li Yumen in the Binhai New Area were revealed yesterday by the Company’s Australian Chairman, Mr Les Glover.
Mr Glover has heralded the project as the first major co-operation between Australia and China in the yachting industry and he believes that his project will provide a significant economic boost for the Binhai New Area whilst at the same time becoming an important catalyst for the establishment of new marine industry.
“Sino Australia Royal Yacht City will be a truly international standard facility which will ultimately provide berths for up to 1000 yachts including the international Super Yachts. We will have a total construction area of 1.68 million m2. Total land area is in excess of 221.7 Hectares of which 100 hectares will be water,” Mr Glover said.
In addition to the Yacht Club and marinas Sino Australia Royal Yacht City will feature expansive public pedestrian promenades and walk ways to take in the sea views. It will also provide the highest standard of living facilities incorporated in the waterfront lifestyle living and commercial precincts.
Whilst some preparatory works have already commenced on the site full scale works are set to commence during July.
