On September 28, Novozymes (China) Bio-pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. started operation in Tianjin Development Zone; the first bio-pharmaceutical factory was formally put into production. Zong Guoying, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and governor of Binhai New Area, Li Weicheng, a member of the Standing Committee and secretary general of the Party Committee of Binhai New Area, relevant municipal and district departments, responsible comrades of the Development Zone participated. He Shushan said in his speech that, TEDA is the main gathering place for multinational companies of Denmark. Novozymes, Novo Nordisk, Vestas and other famous Denmark enterprises will regard the development area as an important R & D and production base, which are also the first to join the “Sustainable Development of TEDA Enterprise Alliance” co-sponsored with the Danish Embassy by the Development Area. It becomes the main force of exploring the green development and low-carbon economy development, but also has made important contributions to the economic development in the Development Area. As on of the leading enterprises in the biomedical field, Novozymes Bbiotechnology Company has built the global enzyme production base in the Development Area.
The opening of Novozymes Bio-pharmaceutical Company will effectively promote the development of biomedical industry cluster in the Development Area, effectively enhance the bilateral strategic partnership. The Development Area will keep its promise and support the development of enterprises as always. We hope that Novozymes will further accelerate the construction, and early realize production targets. Also we hope that Novozymes and other multinational companies of Denmark will pay attention to and make investment in Binhai New Area, achieving mutual benefit and win-win situation.

Novozymes (China) Bio-pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in 2009 in Tianjin Development Zone, after two years of hard work, the joint workshop of Phase I Project has been successfully completed, with the initial production of hyaluronic acid products like Bacillus, mainly for medical devices and pharmaceutical applications. Meanwhile, according to the needs of the progress of other projects, it will continue to build the production facilities of other products in the factory region.
