Hotel Nikko Tianjin Welcomes New Benkay Chef

Benkay Japanese Restaurant at Hotel Nikko Tianjin welcomes Chef Masao Yoshida. Chef Yoshida joined Hotel Nikko Tianjin in December 2011 and has mastered his culinary skills for over 25 years while with Hotel Nikko Osaka.

Chef Yoshida graduated from Kyoto Culinary Art College in March 1987 and is an expert in preparing “Kaiseki” at Hotel Nikko Osaka. During his time at Hotel Nikko Osaka, he was loaned to Hotel Nikko Mexico 3 times to coach and train the staff for their Benkay Restaurant.

The year of 2012 marks a new beginning for Benkay Restaurant and Chef Yoshida. He will improvise with different forms of “Kaiseki” at Benkay and guests can expect exciting changes from time to time. “Kaiseki” is a traditional Japanese multi course dinner which requires specialized culinary skills and preparation methods for the 10 to 14 dishes per course. Kaiseki is perfect to serve for corporate companies entertaining important clients or for families who want to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.

Benkay is always recognized for the freshest sashimi  in town. For the month of January,  a new set lunch menu and daily special menu will be implemented and for the month of February, guests can experience a Japanese buffet, which is served every Saturday and Sunday during lunch @ CNY 268+ per person and dinner CNY 338+ per person.
