Tianjin Port Group, the Administrative Committee of Dongjiang Bonded Port and CNOOC Gas & Power Group signed an agreement for building the CNOOC Tianjin (floating) LNG project in South Port of Tianjin Port on Nov26, 2011.
He Lifeng, the deputy secretary of the municipal party committee welcomed Wang Jiaxiang who is the general manager of CNOOC Gas & Power Group and congratulated him on the conclusion of the agreement. The leaders from related municipal departments and Binhai New Area joined the ceremony.
He Lifeng said that CNOOC has participated in the construction of Binhai New Area for many years and obtained great achievements. He hoped that the Binhai New Area and CNOOC can broaden their cooperation and promise that Tianjin will provide good and efficient services for corporate development and project construction.
Wang Jiaxiang thanked Tianjin and Binhai New Area for their great support and help with CNOOC. He said the CNOOC will seize the key opportunity and make contributions to the development of the Binhai New Area while expanding itself.
The first serial of facilities including LNG storage ships, terminal handling facilities, a storage tank farm and export pipelines will be put into service before April 2013. The storage capacity will be about 2.2 million tons per year. The remaining parts of the project will be completed in 2015.
