March 17, 2011, as the Best Airlines in Europe, Turkish Airlines has invited two Manchester United legends Ronny Johnsen and Viv Anderson to a fan-meeting event in Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace in Beijing.
Along with the Manchester United song of "Glory Glory Man United", the two legends appearance aroused a suddenly passion by their fans on site. The General Manager of Beijing from Turkish Airlines, Mr. Veysel Tas, also brought a welcome speech to the two legends and prepared a Manchester United aircraft model as a gift to the two legends.
On the event, there have 10 special fans selected from the online activities, and several kid-fans from the international school. These fans not only had an intimate contact with the two legends, but also personally experienced the championship-level skills and shared the fun of football with the two legends. During the event, the two legends’ participating of the fancy football performances has brought a climax on the event.
This fan-meeting event is the first time that Turkish Airlines and Manchester United cooperated in Beijing after Turkish Airlines’ sponsorship of Manchester United, which has successfully improve the public’s brand aware of Turkish Airlines and Manchester United through interaction with Manchester United fans. As the General Manager of Beijing from Turkish Airlines described, " the two parties cooperation will certainly promote a global customer awareness of Turkish Airlines and Manchester United." In the end of the event, a lucky person won the big prize of round ticket from Beijing to Europe. In addition, each participant got a signature football with Turkish Airlines logo as a souvenir.
