On 11 April, one of the top 500 global enterprises, Joy Global Inc., officially announced the foundation of its new factory in the Tianjin Binhai New Area Airport Economic Zone had been laid. Once in operation, the factory will create CNY 3 billion of annual production value. The same day, Sinomaster Group also laid the foundation of its first northern China project in Tianjin Airport Economic Zone. At present, the total number of top 500 global enterprises with a presence in Binhai New Area has surpassed 110.
Joy Global Inc., headquartered in the US, is a leading worldwide mining machinery and services company manufacturing underground and surface mining equipment. The CEO of Joy Global Inc. said the reason why they invested and are building the facility in Binhai New Area is because of the geographic advantage that Binhai provides and the favourable investment environment of Binhai.
On the same day, the foundation of the logistics park project invested by Shenzhen Sinomaster group and Bertelsmann was also laid. They will invest CNY 5 billion in the north China headquarter and expect revenue to exceed CNY 10 billion after 3 years.
