The reporter learned from Tianjin Commission of Commerce that, as China’s first batch of “National E-commerce Demonstration Bases” evaluation and election outcome revealed, Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone becomes the only one e-commerce industrial base in Tianjin that was chosen. It is another “national-level” achievement in e-commerce field for Tianjin subsequent to its election as the national e-commerce demonstration city last year. The Ministry of Commerce will give those newly-elected bases policy support in terms of public information and service platform construction, material infrastructure and intangible infrastructure construction, studies on strategies and basic application, and SMEs financing environment improvement, etc.
“The sound service environment, comprehensive industry chain development foundation and considerate industrial policy are main reasons for Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone was elected as one of the fist batch of ‘national e-commerce demonstration bases,” said one officer from Tianjin Commission of Commerce. Currently, Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone E-commerce Industrial Base has attracted a large number of large-scale e-commerce enterprises to settle here: Gome operation and settlement headquarter, LI-NING operation and settlement headquarter, Jingdong online mall, and EMAR Company, etc., most of which are e-commerce headquarters’ settlement projects with high rate of return. In the meanwhile, some supportive projects in fields are going hand in hand with e-commerce industry such as mobile internet, information security, cloud computing, and internet technology are under construction; those projects will lay a sound foundation for the development of the e-commerce industry of Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. Additionally, there are dozens of e-commerce industrial chain projects under the process of negotiation.
