As the construction of anhydrous port at Tianjin Port moves on, the radiation role of Tianjin port is also growing, stimulating the rapid economic development and transformation in the hinterland. The reporter learned from the Municipal Port Office that, in the first quarter of this year, 10 anhydrous ports operated by Tianjin Port completed the operations of 41,400 TEUs, with a year-on-year increase of 11.4%. Up to now, Tianjin Port has built 21 inland anhydrous ports in inland provinces, covering 21 cities in 11 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and established three regional marketing centers in Yinchuan, Xi’an, and Baotou.
According to the relevant responsible person of Regional Coordination Division of the Municipal Port Office, the contribution of the supply of anhydrous port to Tianjin Port is increasing year after year; at the same time, it also plays a full leading role in pulling inland economy. As the Inner Mongolia Regional Marketing Center is just opened, this year, Tianjin Port will further improve the anhydrous port layout, promote the construction of the Inland Regional Marketing Center, enhance the quality of anhydrous port operations, and strive to put the four anhydrous ports into operation which are located in Baoding, Handan, Yinchuan, and Zhangjiakou, promote the anhydrous ports in Bayannur, Chifeng and Xingtai to speed up the construction, and further form the network of anhydrous ports and logistics meshed network covering the North China, northeast, and northwest. It will also give further play to the role of regional marketing centers, fully integrate the original anhydrous port resources spreading in the surrounding, and bring into play the resultant forces of services and radiation.
