altRegus, the world’s leading provider of flexible workspaces, has opened its first business centre in the key commercial and manufacturing city of Tianjin. The availability of Regus workspace in the city offers valuable support for businesses looking for new markets, or better ways to work.

Tianjin has experienced intense growth in recent years, attracting a huge presence of international companies in different sectors. The city’s economic vitality has created great demand for Regus workspace –from companies wishing to expand their footprint to Tianjin, and those that want to adopt new flexible ways of working.

Businesses in China are fast coming to appreciate the benefits of flexible working: from better work-life balance for employees, to cost savings for employers, to enhanced productivity. In research for Regus, 90% of businesses in China said their company was more productive directly as a result of flexible working; 87% believe flexible working allows them to generate more revenue. More than four in ten companies in China think that introducing more flexible working conditions for staff would make a major contribution to future stable growth.

Hans Leijten, Regus’s vice-president, East Asia, comments: “The efficiency and productivity benefits of flexible working are increasingly clear to businesses in China. By opening our first business centre in Tianjin, Regus is helping businesses here to feel those benefits for themselves. Our flexible workspaces offer businesses a better way to work in Tianjin – accessing exactly the workspace they need exactly when they need it.”

He continues: “Tianjin’s importance as a business centre is evidenced by the fact the city will host this year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions – better known as Summer Davos. Like businesses in 95 countries, the business and government leaders who attend the Forum in Tianjin now have the chance to find out how Regus workspace offers them a way to work more productively on the move – a professional place to work better, think better and meet better, than in coffee shops, bars and crowded hotel lobbies.

Note for Editors

Reus’s new Tianjin centre is in the heart of the Heping district, Tianjin’s leading business and retail area. The Tianjin Centre is a twin-tower development, at the junction of Nanjing Road and Guiyang Road; it includes serviced apartments, office space, the Raffles Tianjin Hotel, and a luxury shopping mall. The Regus centre offers ready-to-use offices, meeting rooms, business lounge, high-speed internet, free wifi, and multilingual office support.
