From May to September this year, Ascott North China has involved all of its 11 serviced apartments, within the four cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian and Shenyang, in “Building For Tomorrow, Building A Greener Future” which concerns raising a book donation, that also includes school supplies, for CapitaLand Xingfuzhilu Hope School. The school is located in the northern part of Bahrain West Division, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which resides in the beautiful Horqin grasslands, due to the funds invested by CapitaLand China in 2010. This initiative involved the Ascott serviced residences of Ascott North China to encourage residents to donate inspiring books, as well as to write postcards with the message of hope and love using environmentally friendly materials, to the children in the countryside. To press date, the initiative has donated nearly 1,000 books.
This green initiative represents hope for tomorrow, through the use of books. As the world’s largest serviced residence owner-operator, The Ascott Limited (Ascott) has been committed to public welfare, adhering to CapitaLand’s “Building People” corporate culture that has a distinctive combination of corporate social responsibility, as it has deals with two major concerns: to help underprivileged children as well as to be engaged in environmental protection.
Since 2010, all the 11 properties of Ascott North China have responded positively to the public service attitude of “Building For Tomorrow”, such as organizing an Expo Tour for the Shanghai School for the Blind. This attitude is exercised through thorough assistance in these activities by the means of constantly providing education, support, and care for children. Today, two years on, we have raised funds of 10,000 RMB, as well as many books and school supplies; and sincerely hope that this enduring love can be passed along to the CapitaLand Xingfuzhilu Hope School, so the children may truly build a bright road to happiness.
