According to the survey conducted by the National Statistics Bureau, the per-capita consumption expenditure on service of Tianjin urban residents stood at 2440 yuan in the first half of this year, up 13.5% year on year, accounting for 25.1% of overall consumer spending.

The survey shows that the quality of lives and consumption structures of urban residents have improved solidly with the development of the service industries in Tianjin.

Statistics shows that every 100 households in Tianjin have had access to 29 cars by the end of June this year, a rise of 10 cars against the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, the per-capita consumption expenditure on services such as haircuts and beauty was 127 yuan, increasing by 32.0% year on year. Among which, residents’ spending on tourism accommodation increased by 57.9% while their spending on other services such as law and information consultant increased by 87.1%.

Moreover, in the first 6 months of 2012, Tianjin residents spent 312 yuan on education per person, up 36.0% year on year. And the per-capita consumer spending on housing and decoration was 236 yuan, a rise of 11.4% from a year earlier.

In addition, eating out has become a common phenomenon among Tianjin residents, and the consumer spending on catering service has increased as well. The per-capita consumption expenditure on dining out stood at 958 yuan, up 13.1 year on year.
