According to the latest statistics from the Tianjin Binhai International Airport, the airport received 762,000 passengers in July, 2012, up 10.1% year on year, hitting a record high as the number was increased by 44,000 over the highest passenger flow in August last year.

The number includes 25,000 tourists to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, up 26.5% year on year as the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan tours heated up during the summer vacations.

The China Southern Airlines opened chartered flights from Tianjin to Cheongju in South Korea on 21st July and plans to launch 8 chartered flights in August. The China Eastern Airlines launched 5 chartered flights from Tianjin to Phuket Island in Thailand and plans to operate 6 chartered flights in August.

The Tianjin Airlines has opened chartered flights from Tianjin to Cheju in South Korea starting 10th August with 2 flights per week, and the Singapore Scoot Airlines will open Singapore-Tianjin-Singapore scheduled flights starting 23rd August with 4 flights per week.

It’s expected the Tianjin Binhai International Airport will create a record high again in passenger flow in August this year.
