On the 30th August, more than ten cooperation agreements covering aviation and automobile industries were signed between China and Germany in Beijing.Â

Three cooperation programs signed between the Tianjin Free Trade Zone, China Aviation Industry Group and Airbus, Development Zone and German Volkswagen Group, Free Trade Zone and Eurocopter will settle in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin city.Â

The Airbus assembling plant settled in the Tianjin Binhai New Area in 2006, and the phase-I cooperation will end in the first quarter of 2016. According to the agreement, the period of their phase-II cooperation will be ten years.Â

Volkswagen is the largest car maker in Europe as well as the largest international partner for China’s car industry. The Volkswagen (China) Investment Co will build an auto transmission manufacturing base in the Tianjin Development Zone with a total investment of €900 million. The phase-I program is expected to be put into operation by 2014 with 1.84 billion yuan of total investment, and 1,500 jobs opportunities will be created.Â
