China yesterday announced a series of new measures aimed at stabilizing trade through collecting less in administrative fees, deepening reform of paperless and categorized clearance, as well as providing better services.
Â
The 16 measures include scrapping fees for Customs' supervision, the acceleration of paperless clearance and improving the hotline 12360.
Â
Yu Guangzhou, chief of the General Administrative of Customs, said a survey of traders helped them better understand their difficulties before releasing the measures.
Â
However, some analysts said it does not address the core problems - weak external demand and tight credit.
Â
Earlier this month, China said it would return export tax rebates faster, grant more loans to exporters and expand export credit insurance coverage to small firms.Â
