Tianjin Binhai New Area will be built into a national comprehensive 5A seashore tourism scenic spot consisting of aircraft carrier, beach, island, ancient town and fishing port by 2013.
According to the plans, Binhai New Area will combine scenic spots including Binhai Aircraft Carrier Theme Park, Dongjiang Harbor, Beitang Ancient Town, Sanhe Island, and Tianjin Central Fishing Port and cover an area of about 20 square kilometers, dubbed the "One Park and Four Areas”.
In order to attract more tourists, Binhai New Area will upgrade and improve scenic spots such as the Aircraft Carrier Theme Park, Tianjin Polar Aquarium, Dongjiang Bay artificial beach, Beitang Ancient Town and Liyumen Seafood Street.
In addition, Binhai New Area will build a new batch of tourist projects including a Goddess Matsu Cultural Park and National Ocean Museum.
