altChinese exports rose by more-than-expected in February on strong demand, adding to signs of recovery in the Chinese economy.

Shipments were 21.8% higher than a year earlier, while imports declined 15.2%, resulting in a surprise trade surplus of $15.3bn (£10.2bn), data showed.

But analysts said the figures could be skewed due to Lunar New Year holidays.

Demand for goods from China has dropped as key markets, such as the US and Europe, suffer economic slowdowns.
