Tianjin’s Second E-commerce Development Summit Forum was held yesterday, 13 May 2013. The forum revealed that e-commerce had already become the shining star amongst emerging industries.
The speedy transformation of traditional industries occurs in the recent years and in Tianjin, it is observed that e-commerce has faster development. The e-commerce industries present a good approach of conceptualized development with rapid growth on online retail sales. In 2012, Tianjin online retail sales reached to almost CNY 300 billion, doubling 2011’s online sales figure.
The Tianjin Commerce Committee said the government’s goal is to strengthen the construction of infrastructures as well as the environment of e-commerce companies’ investment. In the future, Tianjin would have four e-commerce industrial parks and one national e-commerce industry demonstration base.
