Dead fish in Tianjin Beidagang Wetland raise environmental concerns

altRecently many photos of dead fish in Tianjin Beidagang Wetland Reserve have been released, indicating the former paradise for migratory birds is in danger of drying up. 
 
According to the report, the wetland water level has markedly dropped, and in some areas the lands have even dried up cracked. Thousands of dead fish are floating on the surface, creating foul odours which only get blown away by the wind. 
 
Beidagang Wetland Nature Reserve is located in the southeast of Tianjin DaGan area, 6 kilometers away from Bohai bay,and covers an area of 44000 hectares. It is the largest wetland nature reserve in Tianjin, and is vital for birds migrating between between east Asia and Australia.
