Businesses in Tianjin and Taiwan are joining hands to build a platform for both sides to improve cooperation in the fields of logistics and customs clearance.
Â
At a briefing conference in Tianjin on Wednesday, Taiwan's Trade-Van Information Services Co., Ltd. formed a strategic partnership with a Tianjin-based supply chain management company.
Â
The two companies will set up a business platform to provide integrated services and resources related to logistics, customs clearance and storage facilities for businesses, which can improve trade efficiency for small- and mid-sized enterprises.
Â
"The platform is of great significance because it will provide a convenient and secure trade channel for businesses on the mainland and in Taiwan," said Hu Chengli, an official at the Taiwan affairs office in Tianjin.
Â
The platform can make Tianjin serve as a Taiwan products distribution center for other regions in the mainland, including Beijing, Hebei, Henan and Shandong, Hu added.
