The Phoenix capsule, which saved the lives of 33 miners in a mine accident in Chile three years ago, will be stored in north China's Tianjin Municipality, the embassy of the Republic of Chile in China announced on Monday.Â
Â
The capsule has already arrived at Tianjin and will be permanently stored at the Chile Pavilion which was moved to the city's Jixian County, after the 2010 Shanghai Expo.Â
Â
The Phoenix capsule, a 54-cm-wide and 4-meter-high steel tube custom-made by the Chilean Navy, helped pull 33 miners trapped in the San Jose mine to safety in mid-October 2010, 69 days after the accident.Â
