Wanda Vista Tianjin mobilized all the hotel staff and united its guests for "An Earth Hour for Blue Sky" Event 2014 on March 29, in response to calls for environmental conservation. The Blue Sky Project, a climate change awareness-building activity organized around the globe by the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF).
From 8:30pm to 9:30pm on March 29, Wanda Vista Tianjin turned off or dim exterior and non-essential interior lighting. The hotel team encourages guests to join them in a variety of energy-saving practices, including turning up the air conditioner one degree higher, abstaining from traveling by car and more.
The hotel also organized a complimentary green theme cocktail at Lobby Lounge to encourage the guests for a healthy lifestyle. During the green theme cocktail, the hotel’s Lobby Lounge offered “green” menus designed around responsibly sourced organic ingredients served fresh or minimally cooked. And the hotel’s live band “Soul Trio” performed a special low-carbon music concert and invited the guests to enjoy the unplugged performance in candlelight.
“We will continue with all the environmental conservation activities to promote and support environmental protection. Welcome to join us!" said Mr. Maged Louis, the General Manager of Wanda Vista Tianjin.
