The production company behind the gangster film "Drug War" held a movie kick-off ceremony Sunday in Tianjin, mtime.com reports.
Liu Yanming, President of Hairun Movies & TV Group, film director Johnny To, screenwriter Wai Ka-Fai, and lead actors Sun Honglei, Louis Koo, Michelle Ye and Huang Yi attended the event.
From the beginning of the production process, the film has maintained a low profile so that information about its stars and plot remain strictly confidential. Although the lead actors were revealed at the event, no information was provided about the storyline.
With a 100-million-yuan (US$15.8-million)budget, "Drug War" aims to become a ganster-film blockbuster on the mainland.
