Dec 18, 2009 -- Recyclable glass container provider Owens-Illinois Inc (O-I) declared on Thursday the official opening of a new mould plant in Tianjin, China, to supply moulds to O-I plants throughout the world and to enhance the Chinese glass market.
This new mould factory is more than 35,000 square metres and makes round and shaped moulds and blanks, as well as finish equipment. Each mould can shape more than two million containers.
The O-I Tianjin Mould Co Ltd, which isAlocated southeast of the Chinese capital Beijing, is one of the largest glass mould manufacturing sites in Asia and is a joint venture between O-I and partner Yi Qing.
