Dec. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Tianjin FAW will produce its first A-level car at its third plant, which is expected to be start operation by the end of next year, sources reported.
The new sedan will be based on Toyota's ninth-generation Corolla platform, with the aim to compete with other existing mid-end car models, such as Hyundai's Elantra and Buick Excelle.
The new plant will have a designed capacity of 150,000 units per year.
Reportedly, the Chinese auto maker plans to launch more new models, including Vizi and revised Vizhi.
