The Chinese mainland on Wednesday reported 77 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases: 38 in Jiangsu Province, 10 in Hubei, 3 in Henan, 7 in Hunan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Wednesday.

East China's Jiangsu Province, Yangzhou city reported 37 new locally transmitted confirmed cases of COVID-19.
 

All the cases were registered in the city of Yangzhou and have been sent to designated hospitals for treatment.

江苏本土新增38例确诊病例，其中37例来自扬州。昨天，中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理孙春兰赴扬州市调研指导疫情防控工作。扬州疫情传播的底数不明，已成当地管控的难处。
