A minor 2.0-magnitude earthquake hit Jinghai County, Tianjin at 8:00 a.m. this morning (August 18th), causing no casualty and no major damage.
The epicenter, with a focal depth of 22 kilometers, was 40 kilometers from Tianjin. 13 earthquakes of magnitude three or above have occurred in the past five years within 200 kilometers of the epicenter, and the 5.1-magnitude tremor in 2020 was the biggest, said the China Earthquake Networks Center.
