The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 345 local confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 253 were in Shanghai, according to the National Health Commission's report on Saturday.

Yesterday also saw 4,275 asymptomatic infections.

Shanghai reported 253 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, 3,961 local asymptomatic infections, and 13 deaths on Friday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Saturday morning.

Of all the local infections, 175 confirmed patients were previously asymptomatic infections. Another 78 confirmed patients and 3,943 asymptomatic cases were detected during central quarantine.
Thursday saw 12 deaths from COVID-19, all in Shanghai.

今早，国家卫健委通报：5月6日0—24时，31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新增确诊病例351例，本土病例345例。新增死亡病例13例，均为本土病例，在上海。新增无症状感染者4324例，其中本土4275例。

5月6日，北京本土新增45例确诊病例和8例无症状感染者，通州一名社区工作者感染。

5月6日，上海本土新增253例确诊病和3961例无症状感染者，新增本土死亡13例，最小年龄62岁，最大年龄95岁。截至5月6日，上海本次疫情共有死亡病例528例。

5月6日，辽宁营口市本土新增69例无症状感染者，其中51例感染者来自辽宁农业职业技术学院，至此，辽宁农业职业技术学院近6天来累计出现本土感染者近300例。
