The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 401 confirmed local COVID-19 cases, of which 322 were in Shanghai, the National Health Commission said on Monday.
 

Apart from Shanghai, six other provincial-level regions on the mainland saw new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 33 in Beijing and 28 in Guangdong.
 

Shanghai also reported 3,625 locally transmitted asymptomatic infections Sunday, out of a total of 3,859 local asymptomatic carriers newly identified on the mainland.
 

Following the recovery of 849 COVID-19 patients on Sunday, there were 8,736 confirmed COVID-19 cases receiving treatment in hospitals across the Chinese mainland.
 

Sunday saw 11 deaths from COVID-19, all in Shanghai.
 

本土401+3859！北京又一小区封闭管控！

今早，国家卫健委通报：5月8日0—24时，31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新增确诊病例415例，其中本土病例401例。新增死亡病例11例，均为本土病例，均在上海。新增无症状感染者3918例，其中本土3859例。
 

5月8日，北京本土新增33例确诊病例和16例无症状感染者，今晨，北京奥林匹克森林公园发布公告，即日起进行闭园管理。此外，今早，丰台区新村街道桥梁厂第二社区居委会发布消息，新村二里小区出现新型冠状病毒核酸检测阳性人员，对小区分片实施封闭管控措施。
 

5月8日，上海本土新增322例确诊病和3625例无症状感染者，新增本土死亡11例。截至目前，上海本次疫情共有死亡病例547例。
 

5月8日18-24时，杭州新增1例新冠病毒无症状感染者，来自桐庐县。今天凌晨，杭州桐庐发布通告，全县全员赋黄码，连续三天核酸筛查，高校、高中教学实行封闭管理，其余幼儿园、小学、初中以及教育培训机构的线下教学活动全部暂停三天。
