The traditional Dragon Boat Festival in China, a Dragon Boat Race will take place on the Tianjin Haihe River on June 3rd.
There will be 30 dragon boat teams from local and international organizations and companies in China. The number of participants will be about 500, and will include Chinese and other nationalities. This is again the largest number of participants in the 34-year history of dragon boat races in Tianjin.
This year's dragon boat race is an exciting event that can be seen on both sides of the Haihe River. The race will be from the Daguangming Bridge to the Baoding Bridge, just in front of Astor Hotel, and near The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin and Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin.
Thanks to the Tianjin Sports Bureau and the Tianjin Dragon Boat Association's courage and innovative spirit, we will enjoy this beautiful event with the special support of TIANJIN PLUS New Media Group.

2022 TIANJIN INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT RACING 天津市第十五届运动会龙舟赛 暨首届天津外资企业运动会开幕式
The dragon boat race is a famous sports and cultural event for tourism in Tianjin. Over the years, it has played an active role in promoting Tianjin, showing off the beauty of the Haihe River, expanding foreign exchange, and increasing the visibility of the city.
This year, in cooperation with Tianjin Plus New Media, the 2022 Dragon Boat Competition will be held. This event is also a celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival.
WHEN
The Finals race of the competition will be held on 3rd June.
LOCATION
Tianjin, on the Haihe River, from the Daguangming Bridge to the Baoding Bridge.

EVENT SCALE
More than 30 dragon boat teams will participate. The teams members come from China and also include other different nationalities, such as Germany, Spain, France, Denmark, Italy, Czech Republic, Singapore, Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom. There will be about 500 participants.
The competition will be set up in Open and Mixed groups of 200 metres and 500 metres. There is no restriction on the team composition in the Open Category, but there must be 4 female paddlers on the Mixed Team.

TIANJIN PLUS has invited 16 teams from Tianjin international corporations to participate under the TIANJIN INTERNATIONAL TEAM (TIT) organized by the Tianjin Dragon Boat Association and sponsored by TIANJIN PLUS New Media.
The Tianjin International Team (TIT) is composed of 16 teams. Each team has members from more than 18 different countries, including China, who are living in Tianjin.
The number of members in each team must not exceed the maximum of 16 persons, including one captain, one coach, one manager, and up to 13 competitors (including the drummer and steersperson, 10 paddlers and 1 alternate).
The participant qualifications are:
1. to be able to swim.
2. to be physically fit.
REGISTRATION FEE
Each team has to pay RMB26,000 as a registration fee (including participation of a maximum of 20 people per Team in the CELEBRATION DINNER & PARTY).

- 1 Boat and paddles for each day of training and the final race.
- 1 Professional training coach during the period 12th May to 31st May, who will provide training sessions on weekends or weekdays (maximum 3 sessions).
- 1 Tent with their logo and team name printed on the front of the tent.
- Publication of team logo and team introduction in TIANJIN PLUS Media Platform.
- 1 Official team shirt for each participant.
- Life vest for practicing and participating in the race.
- Media visibility during and after the event.
- Medal (top teams) and Diploma of Participation.

People come together on the magnificent Haihe River to celebrate healthy living, team spirit, sharing of culture, and help for the community.

Each team should book the training time and trainer or coach at least 2 days in advance by contacting Tianjin Plus, and we request that you provide us with your training schedule of practices for the whole period before the Dragon Boat Festival on 3rd June. Each training session has to be less than 2 hours, including theory and practice.
During the practices, the coach will provide basic skills training and knowledge of techniques to prepare team members to participate in the dragon boat races. Each team member must wear a life jacket or vest during practices and races.
We can organize practice sessions from early morning on weekdays or weekends, depending on the available time for each team.
Tianjin has a historical tradition of Dragon Boat Racing. In 1988, the first modern Haihe Dragon Boat Race was held. The Mayor of Tianjin, together with Lu Huansheng, created the Tianjin Dragon Boat Association.
The Haihe River is a famous city river in China, and Tianjin has become the centre of the Dragon Boat Sports in the northern region. The Haihe International Dragon Boat Race was selected as the national quality event and represents the sports culture of Tianjin.
In the past 33 years, Tianjin has trained more than 200 dragon boat teams, more than 3,000 dragon boat athletes, more than 200 coaches and more than 400 referees. The number of contestants has reached 50,000 and there are millions of spectators since the beginning.
The Tianjin Dragon Boat Association adheres to the philosophy of inheriting culture and advancing with the times, and has distinctive characteristics. It is the pioneer of the Tianjin Dragon Boat Movement, greatly promoting the Tianjin Dragon Boat Movement and contributing to the active development of China's dragon boat business.
Today, the Haihe has become famous abroad, and Tianjin has become an important city for the Chinese Dragon Boat Sport.
