Recently, Metro Line 3 has made important progress, with the Golden Lion Bridge Station to Station Road, Zhou Deng Memorial Station renovation project and other nodes having completed construction. Reporters learned yesterday, Metro Line 3 will further accelerate construction in the first half of next year, and is expected to achieve project completion and begin test runs within the next year.
South from Xiqing High-tech Zone, north to Xiaodian(Beichen district), and combined with Lines 1 and 2, Metro Line 3 will be the backbone of rapid rail transit from southwest to northeast Tianjin. With a length of 29.65 km, it will have a total of 23 stations, with 18 underground, elevated 4, and 1 at ground level. Currently, the main structures of Line 3 stations have been completed, with station completion and track-laying work is now full swing.

It will also be easy to reach, bustling business area such as the High-Tech Zone, University City, Huayuan Industrial Area, Wangdingdi and Red Flag Road, where many "white collar" office workers and college students gather.
