The Chinese e-bike manufacturer Tianjin Flying Pigeon Mfg Co. joined the Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA) as silver sponsor. Flying Pigeon is one of the largest bicycle makers in China. For decades this brand was the sought after, premier bicycle, for China. In recent years, Flying Pigeon has developed e-bikes that are exported to Western brands as well as sold in China.
As part of the Flying Pigeon group, Tianjin Flying Pigeon Electric Bicycle Manufacture Co., Ltd. has been in the e-bike business specializing in both R&D and production. The company covers 36,000 square meters. Production capacity reaches 400,000 units per year with more than 60 engineers and 300 workers.
The e-bikes of Flying Pigeon have passed both CE and EN testing, with 14 models gaining the EN certificate from TUV so far. Their export accounts for 10% of Flying Pigeon’s business with Europe and the USA as the most important markets.
The Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA) represents the strategic interests of light electric vehicle retailers, dealers, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers to promote the development, sale, and use of LEVs worldwide. Currently LEVA has over 105 member companies and 100 individuals from 26 countries.
