TIANJIN, Dec 09, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Integrated customer management (ICM) solution provider Amdocs Ltd. plans to set up an R&D and operation center in Tianjin to further expand in the Chinese market, citing a report.
The Amdocs center will mainly be engaged in the localization of Amdocs' products all over the world, covering a land area of 3,000 square meters in the Tianjin Binhai New Area. The center has recruited more than 100 employees and is set to employ more in China later.
The ICM solution provider has established five operation centers in China by far, including the other four in Xiamen, Beijing, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou. Besides, all the Amdocs China senior executives are Chinese, except the CEO Eran Ofir, according to him. Amdocs achieved a revenue of USD 2.86 billion in the 2009 fiscal year and has had 17,000 employees globally, said another report, adding that the number of the company's experts in China has reached 1,400, partly thanks to its acquisition of a local telecoms solution provider.
